Win A Date With Shallow Hayato

Interactive romance novel meets management simulation in Maiden Love Revolution. The PlayStation 2 game, a best seller in Japan, starts with a snack-happy ex-beauty queen who wants to get back to her dating weight.

The formerly svelte Hitomi gets upset when some neibourhood boys critique her physique. Her brother prescribes a strict diet-and-exercise routine.

Players assume the role of the 100-kgr Hitomi Sakurakawa as she struggles to slim down - mostly by restricting her diet. To advance, Hitomi must count calories and increase her exercise.

Players monitor Hitomi's appetite - shown by the hara-heri (hunger) gauge - and tell her what and when to eat, based on activity level. The game keeps tabs on Hitomi's self-improvement regimen. Today she lost 200 grams and raised her Courage and Education stats!

The game keeps stats on her progress and ultimately rewards her conformity with a boyfriend

If Hitomi slims down, she "wins" a guy! (What is next? Eating Disorder and Low Self-Esteem Revolution?)
