    £40 an hour

    to have sb say:

    It sounds bleak.

That is a very difficult period for you.

    It is a difficult time.

    You must feel lonely, then.

    Understandable.

and still it doesn’t feel like a waste of time or money.

    hmm…

And of course, I had to go look what bleak means in Magenta...

    bleak:

    και...

    wait for it...

Definately not a waste of money then!

    Does "sb" stand for somebody?

1 cold, empty and not welcoming or attractive
2 If a situation is bleak, there is little or no hope for the future
    (Cambridge, screw magenta)
    There they also spell definItely.

    sb stands indeed for somebody

reminds me of this by Alanis Morissette:

"you know, i pay him $75 an hour; sometimes it feels like highway robbery and sometimes it's peanuts - i wish it could last a couple more hours"
